  • Consent and jurisdiction

2. Earth Jurisprudence / Rights of Nature

(recognized in courts and modern legal systems)

• Nature and ecosystems have legal personhood.
  • Ecuador & Bolivia have codified this.
  • Whanganui River (NZ), forests, and lands recognized as living entities.
• Key Principles:
  • Earth is not property — it is a living, sacred community.
  • Humans are part of, not above, the natural order.
  • All beings have the right to fulfill their role in the Earth community.

3. Gaia Theory

(James Lovelock & Indigenous cosmologies)

• Earth is a living organism with self-regulating systems.
• Any parasitic or disharmonious presence must be expelled or healed for the whole to survive.
